Guardian interview

I did an interview for The Guardian a few weeks ago, and here it is.
I read it but I didn't learn anything new. But you may still find something interesting. By the way, it's all about me.
Sorry about that!

You probably won't remember but in your fourth year the school became a Comp and experienced an influx of, shall we say, less academic staff, of which I was one. Gownless and mortar-board less, we were subjected to looks of moral superiority from our elders and betters. Brian Wilson came to the first prize-giving on his moped and, wearing his anorak and crash helmet, wheeled it into the dining room corridor. "Which university is that?" asked a nameless (Initials D M-F) elder in full regalia. "University of Life, mate," replied Brian, not breaking step.

I remember those days well. The previous few terms we were warned by some (no names, no initials, D M-F being one) that civilization was about to crumble and there would be some barely-educated hicks arriving from the outlands to try to be teachers. I also remember the Headmaster announcing the names of these incoming new breed of educators, and mangling the name of one (initials GJG).
Glad to hear you're fixed up and on the mend.
